Delete your SportsDJ account
SportsDJ is a service of Ligobyte LLC. This page is for deleting the SportsDJ account you sign in with. You do not need the app, and you do not need to sign in.
If you can still open the app, delete it there
It is the same deletion and it takes effect immediately, rather than waiting on an email and a person.
iPhone
- Open SportsDJ and tap the menu button (☰) at the top left.
- Tap your account row — it shows your name or email.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete Account.
Android
- Open SportsDJ and swipe in from the left, or tap the menu button (☰).
- Tap Settings, then scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
What deleting does
- Your account is deactivated and stops working. Your sounds, groups and games on your own phone are not touched — they live on the device, not in the account.
- Share codes you handed out that nobody has claimed yet stop working. This is the one effect that cannot be undone: cancelling the deletion reactivates the account, but revoked codes stay revoked and you would need to share again.
- People who already claimed sounds you shared keep them. Nothing changes for them. What they received is part of their own collection now, and closing your account does not take it back.
- You can undo it for 30 days, and the clock starts when we act — not when you send the form. We email you the exact date your data is permanently removed. Until that date you can sign in and cancel; signing in alone does not cancel it.
Before you ask: your credits are destroyed
If the account holds AI announcement credits, they are destroyed when the deletion completes, and neither the App Store nor Google Play refunds them. They are not transferred to another account.
Your balance is on the Account screen in the app, next to where the delete option is. It is worth looking before you send this, because the purchase is the part of a deletion that cannot be recovered even by cancelling. The record of the purchase survives either way — we are required to keep financial records — but the usable balance does not.
If you signed in with Apple and hid your email
Sign in with Apple offers a “Hide My Email” option, and if you used it, the address on your SportsDJ account is an Apple relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com — not your real one. Use the relay address here.
Find it on your iPhone: Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple → SportsDJ.
We cannot warn you if the address you enter does not match an account: telling anyone which addresses have SportsDJ accounts would expose our users, so the page answers the same way either way. That makes this the one thing worth getting right before you submit.
Request deletion by email
Enter the email address on the account. We send that address a link, and the deletion starts only when you open the link and press the button on it — that round trip is how we check the account is yours when there is no sign-in to prove it.
How this differs from deleting in the app
Section 6.1 below says deletion takes effect immediately. That describes the button inside the app, and it is accurate for it.
This route is different, because there is no sign-in to prove it is you. We verify the email address first, and then a person carries the deletion out within 30 days of your confirmation. We email you on the day we act, with the exact date your data is permanently removed.
The 30-day period in §6.1 during which you can change your mind starts on the day we act, not the day you send this form.
From our Privacy Policy
The text below is quoted from Section 6 of the SportsDJ Privacy Policy, which is the governing document. Everything above is our description of how this page works.
6.1 Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from the SportsDJ app on iPhone or Android.
Deletion takes effect immediately. Your account is deactivated as soon as you ask. You will not be able to use the Service, and any sharing links you created stop working straight away — including links you have already given to other people.
Removal begins after 30 days. We keep your data for 30 days so that an accidental deletion can be undone. During that period you can sign in and choose to cancel the deletion.
Signing in does not cancel the deletion by itself. You have to choose to cancel. We do this deliberately: if simply signing in undid your request, you could check something, leave, and believe your data was gone when it was not.
After 30 days we remove your profile, your teams and the player information on them, your backups, saved games, announcement templates, custom clips, and your sign-in credentials. At that point your account no longer exists and signing in is no longer possible.
6.2 What We Keep After You Delete Your Account
Some information is not ours alone to erase, and some we are required to keep. We keep the following:
- Financial records. Purchases and credit transactions are our record of business we have done, and we are required to keep them for tax and audit purposes — generally for around seven years. These records remain associated with your account identifier.
- A record of your membership. The fact that an account existed and when it was closed, kept for security purposes and reachable only by our administrators.
- A record of files you shared. If you shared audio with another user, we keep a record of which files you contributed. We are required to maintain this to respond to copyright complaints and to enforce our repeat-infringement policy.
- A record that you accepted the Terms and Privacy Policy, and which version. This is the only proof that the agreement between us was formed, so it has to outlive the account it relates to. It records which version you accepted, when, and which of our apps you accepted it in. It does not include your IP address.
- Audio you uploaded that other people are still using. Audio files are stored once and may be referenced by more than one person’s shared collection. A file you uploaded is removed once no other user’s collection still references it, which may take longer than 30 days.
We do not use anything in this list to build a profile of you, to contact you, or for advertising.

Rather talk to a person?
Write to privacy@ligobyte.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. That works whether or not this form does, and it is the route to use if you are not sure which address the account uses.
